Color Wheel
Begin a color wheel by positioning primary hues equidistant from one another, then create a bridge between primaries using secondary and tertiary colors.
Primary Colors
Colors at their basic essence;
those colors that cannot be
created by mixing others.

Color Theory is a complex multitude of
definitions, concepts and design applications.
All of this information would easily fill an
encyclopedia. This section is designed to give
basic understanding of the overall concept and
application within embroidery.
A color wheel (also referred to as a color circle)
is a visual representation of colors arranged
according to their chromatic relationship. The
first color wheel was an invention of Sir Isaac
Newton in 1706.
Secondary Colors
Those colors achieved by a
mixture of two primaries.
Tertiary Colors
Those colors achieved by a
mixture of primary and
secondary hues.
