As time has passed, developing new products to keep our competitive advantage has presented us with exciting challenges. Before 1986 embroidery machine speeds were relativley slow and rayon threads were sufficient for direct embroidery, however it became apparent that a new product would be needed to keep pace with machine evolution. This product had to have all the advantages of a rayon while adding certan productivity qualities. It had to be rayon smooth and rayon bright, but it had to perform at an unprecedented level. Experimenting with a variety of raw materials yielded a clear winner: Polyester. Through the tenacity or rigorous research and development, Isacord polyester embroidery thread emerged and todays is still the benchmark by which others are measured. The future of Ackermann embroidery threads looks promising, with machine speeds increasing, Isacord and now Isalon are the clear choice for superior embroidery and offer a productivity advantages other brands simply cannot deliver.
